The Sassafras Superstone Covered Baker is inspired by the ancient Athenians dating back to 500 B.C. The Athenians placed the dome over breads and other foods to be baked, surrounding it with hot embers to create an even heat. This Superstone Baker produces a traditional Italian/French loaf of bread with a very crispy crust and light crumb.
